I am the farthest thing from being an artist. I don't have enough creativity. My 7 year-old daughter, on the other hand, loves coloring and painting. I used to take her to art school every Saturday morning for a couple of hours, right before this pandemic started, and she absolutely loved it. When normalcy returns, I will definitely send her back. For now, I thought of looking up some online tutorials that we could do at home. I came across this lovely channel on YouTube called CreatefulKids and chose the easiest tutorial to get us started. We didn't have any materials at home, so I purchased a set of acrylic paint and a set of paint brushes from Amazon - there's plenty to choose from, but here are the links to what I bought:

We set up in the kitchen, on our easy-to-clean table and when everything was ready, we opened up the tutorial and got to work. My almost 5 year-old also joined in on the fun and honestly I was really impressed with them!
This was such an easy, fun activity, even if you know nothing about art, like me! It's definitely going on our go-to-activities list for lazy days at home!
